I am also going to Carnival. I am going on the Exodus trip that starts in Buenos Aires and ends in Rio just in time for the start of Carnival.

Does anyone have any advice on currency? I know the trip notes say US dollars but I'm thinking I might just take Reals?

Hi Kath, I always bring a little of the local currency with me, just in case. One time I arrived in another country, everything was closed and the ATM machine was not working. Well, see you soon.
