Hi Simon & Louise,My name is Anna and I’m the product manager for the ‘Sahara Desert Trek’ tour. In December the average daytime temperature is between 18 and 21 °c, but it usually drops drastically to 9-12°C at night, so I’d recommend you take winter clothes and a warm 3-4 seasons sleeping bag. In regards to footwear, you will need lightweight walking boots for the trek and walking sandals or trainers for the evening, so if you could take both with you, that would be perfect! For further information on what to pack, I suggest you read the ‘What to take’ paragraph in the Trip Notes, which can be downloaded from our website: http://www.exodus.co.uk/holidays/tmu/trip-notes?seasonID=39 If you would like to get some more tips from people who have been on this trip, you can check the following link in the 'Arrival Gate' in our community area of the website: http://www.exodus.co.uk/forum/post/13480-sahara-trek-tips-went-mar-09 I hope you have a great holiday! Kind regards,
Anna

Hi
Abyone out there done the Tunisia Desert Trek in winter? We are going over New Year 2009/2010 and wondered what we might need in terms of clothing and sleeping gear. Are walking boots useful, of is it better to use walking shoes? And how warm duing the day and cold at night will it be? Ahy past experiences would be most useful. Cheers Simon & Louise
