Snorkelling Gear on Board Cachalote
snorkelling - 30th Aug 2010 - 7:40pm
You won't borrow the fins - you'll hire them. There is a list of costs for the equipment. ($5 for mask and fins) Enjoy the snorkelling - I did even though, as I can't swim, my snorkelling was a bit restricted.
Snorkelling gear is of good - 17th Sep 2011 - 9:18am
Snorkelling gear is of good enough quality on board. Depends whether you want to use a snorkel that has visited a number of previous mouths!
On one shorkel trip I swam with playful sea lions, marine iguanas, turtles and got bitten by a cormorant. Ok, it was more of a nip! Also swam with penguins, a foot away! Not even bothered by me. also saw white tiped reef sharks and diamond sting rays whilst snorkelling.

According to the trip dossier, snorkelling gear costs $15 per week on board to hire, although a client seemed to suggest that if you take your own mask and snorkel, there are plenty of fins on board which could be borrowed. Is this the case, because I have my own mask, fins and snorkel but if I can borrow fins rather then take my own, it would help keep luggage to a minimum.
Thanks.
