Trip - AIS - SOUTH INDIA EXPLORED, Departure Date - Sunday 18th November 2012

I am going on this, my second trip to India, in November.  Last time I covered the Golden Triangle and visited Ranthambore, Bandhavgarh and Kanha.  Had a wonderful time and saw lots of tigers and other wildlife - a very exciting experience.

I am looking forward to seeing the South of the country which is so different and think that the itinerary will give a great view of this area of wonderful India.

Would love to hear from anyone else booked on this trip.

Hi Jules,  Just booked this trip, my first to India. I'm a seasoned traveller but expecting many new experiences courtesy of India. Planning on seeing tigers next year so will pick your brains about them. Look forward to chatting with you soon.

Hi Jeff, glad you replied, was beginning to feel as if I was the only traveller on this trip! LOTS to tell you about tiger spotting - a fabulous experience. However, I've just been reading (in BBC Wildlife mag) that the Indian government has decided "...that there will be no tourism in the core zones of any of India's tiger reserves." A really bad decision as tourists mean tigers are protected from poaching etc.

Here's to a great trip in November.

Sad news about the tigers. I -

Sad news about the tigers. I knew something was happening but had no details. I know someone at Exodus who deals with Indian trips so will get more information from her.

There are a few of us booked on the trip so hopefully we shall get more posts as we get closer to the date.

I'm off to Peru shortly so will be out of contact until late September. Hope for some developments by then.

Jeff

Peru -

Enjoy your trip to Peru. Hope Machu Picchu is part of your itinerary - a magical place.
