Stok Kangri 30th July

I'm just worrying about am I fit enough...
I haven't decided whether to take my plastic boots and/or my mantas...
I hate the packing.
Looking forward to seeing Leh again several years since I did the Zanskar trek, Exodus have since stopped doing it.

Hi Toby - I have exactly the same boots dilemma...& will my crampons be ok with the Mantas...& you have to keep luggage to 20Kg..maybe I'll wear the Mantas on the flight!.
It's my 1st trip to India...been with Exodus to Nepal before.
See you next week!
Hi its Valerie here, your leader for the Stok Kangri trip. I am in Nepal at the monent and will meet you in Delhi in a few days time. Re boots - plastics are too heavy and bulky for Stok Kangri, the Mantas will be fine - a good 4 season boot is fine. Once we get to Leh we will pack all the climbing gear separately so you jujst need to get it in your luggae to get to Leh.
Valerie
Hi Valerie - Thanks for the tip .. the only other slight doubt I had was that the Manta sole doesn't protrude to snugly fit the front of my Grivel Airtech crampons, but I guess the ties will do the job well enough
I plan to use the Mantas all trip in that case, even though it'll be warm, as I like the ankle support & they're worn in
Rob
Hi Valerie thanks.... relief I never have enough room.
Do you know the local Ladakhi guide Numgel(sp)? I was on the old Zanskar trek with him, unfortunately he had to go back with another client.
