Swine Flu and Travel Insurance -

Not sure if this is the right place to post this question - but here it is anyways (mods feel free to move to a more appropriate section!)

Does the standard Exodus travel insurance cover the costs of your holiday if you are unable to travel due to swine flu or suspected swine flu?

Like most travel insurance policies (but not all, we are hearing), swine flu is not exlcuded from the Exodus policy. Therefore if you have to cancel your holiday due to swine flu, you will be covered for cancellation just like you would for any other illness. Normally you would need a Doctor's note to confirm your illness, but we are told that insurance companies will accept the reference number that you are given over the swine flu helpline - so you still dont need to go to the Doctor.

Hope that helps.
