A taste of Egypt

I'm thinking about booking up on this trip, not made my mind up yet! Have you travelled with exodus before?

I haven't travelled with exodus before either. I went to Egypt about ten years ago and liked the itinerary of this trip.  As I hadn't been to many of the sites before I decided to try it! Hope you join the trip.

This looks like being a fairly hot Egyptian experience with temperatures around mid to high 30C.  We're coming via Jordan and are thinking of leaving our main suitcases at the Cairo hotel during the Aswan, Luxor and Nile tour. Travelling relatively 'light' during the main tour seems sensible. Do you have any idea how many people are on this tour? We have 4 in our group.

Looking forward to seeing you in 4 weeks time. I don't know whether we can leave our luggage in Cairo whilst travelling to the other destinations, but it is a good idea, hope you and your group have a great time in Jordan, Michael. I have no idea how many are on this tour but there are at least 6 of us so far. How long will be in Jordan for?

Laura, are you flying from Heathrow on 1 May with the tour? If so, will see you at the airport.

We'll be in Jordan for 4 days while Suzanne is at a medical conference at the Dead Sea. We'll arrive at Cairo airport about 2 hours before your flight and wait there to join the tour party then travel to the hotel together. I haven't found any way to contact the hotel about leaving luggage there but it's a 5 star hotel and hopefully the concierge services can be persuaded to take care of our luggage in return for some Egyptian dollars. Money speaks many languages.

 You're right Michael, I am sure the hotel will not refuse a little financial incentive to keep your luggage for a few days. From the reviews that I have read online the hotel is in Giza and a bit of a distance from the main sites in Cairo, but hopefully we will find ways to get to town in our free time.

See you in 3 weeks Laura. I'm planning to go to the Nomad travel shop in London, as we get £50 voucher to spend and need to get a sleeping bag. Take care.
