TMM - First Mountain Climb

Hi Katerina,

We did the winter climb version of this trip (see profile pic of summit!) and its a great experience if you like a culture change! The only bit of advice I would give you is that if you get the option to go to the Baths at Imlil, be warned it entails being stripped to your underwear, lying on a concrete floor and buckets of water been hurled at you and they do the whole group together! Before we went there was people on the forum saying 'ooh you must try that', the swine’s! :) Take a towel even just a travel one.

The climb of Toubkal and Ouanakrim is non-technical but most of us suffered from the lack of oxygen at one point or another, although the guides were mostly sympathetic and stopped for a rest when requested.

There are two huts at basecamp, (we stopped in the smaller one) and there was a little shop in the other where you can buy simple snacks and cola. Take an emergency loo roll and Imodium!

If your a vegetarian you may want to take some extra little snacks.

Hi did this with exploreres ,take some boilled sweets,dried fruits etc to nibble on along the way .Keep your energy levels up and nice to share with fellow travellers.

Am also booked on the 14th July trip - it sounds an amazing adventure in the mountains and am really looking forward to it. Will also be my first Exodus holiday. A little worried about it being too hot though!

I've been with Exodus before - they're a really good company to travel with so you've no worries there... And there's no such thing as too hot! I'm sure it'll be fine. Not long now!
