Trip - MOC - CYCLE INDOCHINA & ANGKOR, Departure Date - Sunday 14th November 2010

Hi all,

I 've booked with a cycling buddy this trip and the departure date is fast approaching. The understanding wives ( thats hi san dmine not both mine yo understand! are getting ready to wave us off.

I used to do a lot of cycling ( Allan still does) so have been training on and off for this adventure.

Who else is going on this one?

not long to go before departure -
I've been told this tour is fully booked with 18 of us on it. Come on! who else is going, apart from me and Allan? What training have you done? are you doing? What other preparations are you taking? BTW we are both 51 and will be paying back the "brownie points" for some time afterwards being allowed to leave wives and families behind.

Things moving on... -
Just sent passports off for the Visa's (so fingers crossed) and having jabs tomorrow. I am coming along with my boyfriend, he would lose brownie points for leaving me behind! and two other cycling friends (Another couple). I am the slowest member of the group but use the excuse of taking pictures! Look forward to meeting you on the 14th if not at the airport or on the plane on the 13th,

hurray -
jo good to hear from you, what training are you / have you done? I'm the slow one in our group of 2

Not much training, mainly -
Not much training, mainly spinning in the gym, and out in Yorkshire mountain biking at the weekend. I have had a cold over the last few weeks so training has been limited. I cycle to work most days so hoping that will be enough!

final prepping -
what Jabs have you had? I'm not bothering, Allan is doing the anti malaria course. Hope you're getting over your cold. I think i'm just starting to get one. We were out last weekend, did a spinning class on Saturday (gee that's tough!) turf cutting and roling for the rest of the day and a 46 mile road trip on sunday Morning with his roadie mates. I hung on the back until we hit an incline and then they were gone. (they did wait for me at the next junction!) Now thinking of what i'm going to pack :)
