I guess you are taking the galapagos island extension ? Lucky you - i did contemplate it but for one reason or another i decided it would have to wait ! I am expecting the inca/ amazon bit will be a big enough challenge for me !!

I am flying from manchester so going via amsterdam with KLM  ..it is going to be a long one !

Yes, I'm on TPJ.

I am catching a train down from Glasgow friday 20th, and staying at my brothers house, then I'm on some 6am flight out of Heathrow on Saturday morning which goes via Madrid through to Lima. I'm not sure if I'll be getting any sleep at all Friday night since I'll have to be at Heathrow around 2-3am Saturday and have not seen little brother in a year or so.

Just wondering what you are doing about sleeping bags- taking one or hiring one there for the inca trail ?

I bought mine from Tiso, cost only about £40 but worth the investment.

Not far to go now, this is creaping up on me! :-)

a friend has given me one for the trip - however the thought of carrying it doesn't appeal !

yes round the corner - 4 weeks to go ....did 4 hour walk to break the shoes in today  but am sure altitude and terrain over there it will be soooo much harder !!!

Booked at the last minite for this holiday, I am on the group flight out of Heathrow but am a bit nervous at traveling on my own, would love to meet up at Heathrow with anyone else on the same flight.

I am on an Iberia flight but mine is at 06:20 on the 21st to Madrid? are you going via somewhere else, or are you still on the 12:45 flight out of Madrid to Lima?

I would be happy to meet up in Heathrow ideally or in Madrid.

We are on the 12.45 flight from Madrid to Lima don't know why we are on different flights from Heathrow yes can see you at Madrid airport. Christine

Im on the 12.25 of Madrid too. But plane from London is 430am check in so I'll be up at 3am. :-/

I don't mind if anyone wants to text me or phone when waiting in Madrid, meet up for a bevie or two...

gosh they have put you all on very random flights ! apparently they tell me the majority of us are leaving from manchester...but nobody else come forward from the manchester end so far ??!! I too have to be checked in by 4am but in manchester so i sympathise greatly with you !
