Trails of Borneo
Hi Caroline,
I'll be joining you . . Now that Christmas has been and gone i'm starting to get just a little bit excited about escaping to warmer climes.
Helen.
Hi Helen
Well not long now to trip. Have you travelled with exodus before
Caroline
I am an Exodus virgin but i have travelled with Explore a few times so i've got a rough idea of what it's all about! How about you?
Helen
This is first time with exodus. Not too sure about luggage. What do I take. I have been to Kenya and India on safari but stayed in lodges and during day only had to take what I needed for drives.
Are you on Saturday flight.
Caroline
Saturday morning flight from Heathrow . . nice and early! I've just seen that the baggage allowance for the internal flights is 15kg so will have to be sensible or be prepared to part with my cash!
Take lots of cotton items and nothing too heavy for the humid areas. I find that long sleeves and trousers are always better for the rainforest too as it keeps the creepy crawlies off you. Don't forget your insect repellant and anti malarial drugs!
Where are you travelling from?
I am travelling from Glasgow. Catching 6.30 flight on the saturday morning which will get me into Heathrow for 8. I wasnt sure about anti malaria drugs. oh dear will have to do something bout that. Cant believe its 4 weeks today. Are you going to have go at climbing the mountain.
Yes I do love a challenge and I am hoping to climb that mountain and.... reach the summit. Starting to make a list so hopefully dont forget anything. I was wondering about the walking poles which I have read about in the reviews. I was wondering if we will be able to hire them there rather than buying them here and carrying around in your luggage. I probably wouldnt use them again...
Steve Coope
Hi all from the states.I will be on that trip too, and cant believe it is on its way. I will join
you when you change planes in Kuala Lampur. Looking forward to the challenge and getting up at 2 AM
on summit day. Hope we have a fun crowd, and looking forward to meeting all. Lets hope for good weather, and not too much rain...See you soon, Steve
Hi Steve and Tom
Looking forward to trip. Now 3 weeks on Saturday. omg. Looking forward to meeting everyone for a brilliant time.
Helen
Just read in one of the reviews that walking poles can be got at the base camp. Think I may wait until then. Whats bout you are you nearly organised for the trip. Me not so organised
Hi Steve and Tom,
Fingers crossed that you're not jinxed Tom and that there aren't any ash clouds/snow/leaves on the line come 12th March!
I'm not particularly well prepared at present as I tend to operate better in a panic . . now where did I put that passport ;o)

Hiya
Anyone out there going on this trip. Would love to hear from you if so.
