Hi Andy. Like you, Pauline and I are really looking forward to the trip. Sounds very interesting with such a variaty of activities. Be nice to get away from our winter weather too. We are taking the exodus organised flight from Heathrow on the 12th so may see you there.

Hi David and Pauline

Not too long to go now, and we are doing quite well with our check list. We've got malaria tablets, even though advice is not really clear in locations we are going to. Also bought some anti-mossie ankle and wrist bands.Trying to travel light with a couple of small rucksacks and a single holdall.

We'll be on flight from Heathrow, travelling up from Wales on Friday.

Grateful for any tips you might have.

Hi Yes, mixed advice re - 27th Jan 2011 - 5:25pm

Yes, mixed advice re malaria - we are taking tablets for the north only. Will also take fly repellant but hate using the stuff. Bags can be left in the hotels so can travel light for the Hilltribe trek and Mekong Delta. Difficult to know what clothing to take for the north as it can get chilly - will use layers rather than any heavy clothing.

We are on the Heathrow flight so may see you there.

Can't wait to get going - be nice to escape the UK winter for a couple of weeks.
