training for Annapurna -
Trip - TNQ - ANNAPURNA CIRCUIT, Departure Date - Saturday 25th September 2010
If anyone would like to get in touch, it would be interesting to talk, see what sort of training you are doing for the circuit. If anyone has already been on the trip - same thing. Any tips would be appreciated.

Annapurna Circuit -
Hi there. My friend Sue and I are doing the Annapurna Circuit and are just trying to improve our general level of fitness as we have no plans to do anything at altitude. We have been doing regular walks and climbs (10 - 16 miles) in Derbyshire, Shropshire and the Lakes. Sue frequents the gym and I swim, cycle and run - nothing too frantic. We live on the east side of Birmingham (Coleshill and Water Orton) and have had a good evening at the Gurkha Restaurant in Nuneaton, run by Nepalese, authentic and helpful, which we hope to repeat soon. We still have quite a number of questions ourselves re what to pack mainly. Can't think of anything obvious to share at the moment but will do if think worthwhile. Regards Margaret

We are actually travelling out on the 4th of October, not really sure why 25th Sept. has come up. So don't know if you will be with us or not. We walk fairly often in the lakes as well, but we have been doing stuff with a little more feet of ascent in just recently, not really sure how much mileage or feet of ascent there will be on a daily basis.
