Transport & time in Overland Vehicles
Sarah
Hi Sarah - Thanks for the info
Where are the photos (Sorry, I'm new to the forum)

Hi Alison
I did this trip in 2011 and the truck is a great way of travelling - suprisingly comfortable, yet rugged enough to feel like your on an adventure. Being high up does offer some great view of the countryside and villages (and the traffic in Kampala).
As Sarah says there are some long drives - generally the roads are pretty good, probably the bumpiest one we encountered was on the trip to the Mara, which was in 4WD.
All of the longer drive have breaks built in and they offer enough time to stretch you legs, grab some refreshments and see some local daily life.
I have a bunch of pictures of the truck and throughout the trip here - www.flickr.com/greenninja.
Overall it's a really well balanced trip - you cover a lot of miles, but have lots of opportunity to see and do a ton of cool stuff.
hope this is helps

Hi - I really fancy this trip, (not yet booked) but would like to know roughly how much time is spend in the Overland vehicles each & day & also how comfrtable are they. Have been to Kenya a number of times & used various forms of transport - Toyota Landcruisers, Land Rovers & Matatu. The last time we were there, I could see massive investment in newer roads, but suspect that main roads still leave a lot to be desired.
Any info will be appreciated
