Trip - MOV - CYCLING VIETNAM, Departure Date - Sunday 28th March 2010

Hi, I am doing the Cycling Vietnam trip from 27th March to 11th April. I know that it will be hot, hot, hot when we leave Saigon and probably for the bulk of the trip. However, from what I've read from Hue and North to Hanoi, it can be cooler.

I'm guessing I need to take a water/shower proof top with me for on the bike, but what's the likeliood of me needing a fleece or jacket once in the more Northern part of the country? And what about in the hills around Dalat - will it be cooler there or still pretty comfortable at that time of year?

Any comments from anyone who has been to Vietnam at similar time of year would be great!

Thanks

Dalat and the central -

Dalat and the central highlands can be cooler in the evenings due to the altitude so it is worth taking at warm top, even though you might not need it. I recommend buying a poncho locally on arrival they are sold all over the place and only cost a dollar or 2, this way you wont sweat as much as cycling with a waterproof top which wont be as breathable.
