Vietnam cycle

Hi there, is anybody out there!?!?!?  Does anyone fancy meeting up in London beforehand? I'm flying out slightly earlier on 18th, so arrive in HCM on 19th April. I'm staying in the same hotel where the tour is booked into, so if I don't see you beforehand, I will look forward to meeting you all on 21st. Does anyone else feel unprepared!?!?!?! Katie

 I am flying out on the 27th for the Vietnam cycle tour. My training is not going well at all but then with it being so cold and still snowing it's difficult.

I actually live in London Katie so would be more than happy to meet up if you like.

Hi Katie, It's nice to see somebody else going on their own! I feel so unprepared, the weather hasn't been great to get out on the bike. Little bit worried about the cycling and the heat, but so looking forward to it. I probably haven't got time for a meet up in London now as so busy. However may need to go to London next week for work so will let you know. I am flying out on the 20th so if I don't see you beforehand I will see you there. Leanne x

Hi Leanne, thanks for touching base - I was beginning to wonder if anyone was actually going!!! It is fair to say I feel quite disorganised!!! I haven't done any cycling other than an hour here and there in the gym, but I am relying on my general fitness to see me through!!! I am in the process of buying a bike though, so perhaps that will get me extra points!!! I can't wait. Have you been to Asia before? This will be my first time and I'm slightly apprehensive as I'm arriving earlier than you guys, but I wanted to do a day tour in the Mekong Delta. I'm also having a couple fo days at the end of the tour, so need to decide on a tour to finish. Are you flying back on 4th? Yes, just let me know about next week - I work in West Brompton, so it's easy for me to get into central London or wherever really. Have you packed!?!? Katie:)

Hi Katie, Sounds like we both feel the same way! My training has been lacking as have a road bike so weather hasn't been great for that, trying to get a 40 miler in this weekend hopefully. Packing has got as far as clothes are washed, worried as never been on a holiday like this before so not sure if I am taking appropriate clothing! I have never been to Asia either. You have nothing to worry about, you will be a pro by the time I arrive. Unfortunately I going back on the 4th as couldn't really have anymore time off. I will let you know about next week, I will be in Canary Wharf so easy to meet up somewhere. It is probably unlikely as workload is pretty crazy at the moment. I am so glad there is a fellow lone traveller as I was worried I would be the only one going out ony own. Take care Leanne x

Hi girls hope you don't mind me asking, am looking at the appropriate Insurance to cover me for an actual Cycle tour and wondered who you had used?!

 A lot of companies offer Insurance which can include optional adventurous activities but as we are actually on a Cycling tour holiday (pure biking) some do not cover and want to have to choosen the correct Insurance.

Any pointers would be appreciated if you've sorted it already. Thank you :)

Hi , I just went with insure and go!! They have a list of activities they cover and cycling as standard. Have a great trip :)
