Visas for Burkina Faso, Ghana and Mali

Visas for Burkina Faso, Ghana and Mali - 17th Oct 2010 - 4:44pm
Trip - AYH - HIGHLIGHTS OF WEST AFRICA, Departure Date - Friday 7th October 2011
Hello! We are seriously considering booking tour AYH to Ghana, Burkina and Mali and would like some advice on the visas. We know they are required for each country however they seem to be a bit more complicated than other trips we have done. Our main concerns are timing, if we have to post passports to 3 different embassies, 2 being in Belgium how far in advance would we need to do this? What if the trip isn’t filled and ultimately cancelled would we lose the money spent on visas?! Any advice welcome thank you!

Hi there! Thanks for your enquiry and for your interest in our trip to West Africa. You will need approximately 3 weeks to obtain your visa for Mali, about one week/10 days to obtain your visa for Ghana and one week/10 days to obtain your visa for Burkina Faso.
The good news is that, as well as the visa for Ghana, also the visa for Burkina Faso can actually be obtained in London, so you will not need to send your passport to Belgium. For further details, please have a look at this link: http://www.burkinafasovisa.co.uk/gfx/consul/visaapplication.pdf
Our Trip Notes will be updated with this information as soon as possible.
Obviously it is best to apply for visas in advance, however, we strongly advise that you don't apply for your visas until the departure is confirmed. We normally aim to guarantee or cancel our trips at least 2 months before departure, therefore we will make sure you will have enough time to obtain your visas once the trip has been guaranteed.
I hope this helps!
Best Regards
Daniela
