Hello Helen! -
Began to think no-one else on this as only had one reply to my early post!  I have never even been to Greece and am really interested in the geology especially of Santorini - there have been quite a few programmes on TV recently about Atlantis and the Minoans on Crete being wiped out by the volcanic eruptions on Santorini.  Also be really good to get away from our weather system at moment! Travelling from Newcastle with KLM so won't meet group until Athens but am picking up group transfer so look forward to meeting you.  Brenda T

Hello Brenda! -

Nice to hear from you. I am also interested in archeology and the myths surrounding Santorini. It's in the high 20s in Athens at the moment so probably slighl;y cooler on the islands but that's fine! Anything is better than the current weather in the UK. Frosts are forecast overnight at the weekend! It's 2nd May!

Have a safe trip and see you in Athens. I was last there in 1994.

Helen

Temperature fine by me! -

Great to hear from someone with similar interests.  That's why I travel alone - my friends dont 'do' my type of holiday.  Two  other people are coming from my village - we booked totally independently and are on different flights - just co-incidence but Marian is also very interested in archeology.  See you in Athens.

Great trip, fantastic weather and a really nice group of fellow travellers. Recommend it in early season when all the churches have been freshly painted for the Easter celebrations and the flowers are out. Lovely to be back in Greece and I hope better days are to come.

Yassas!
