Sounds like you have pretty good trekking experience which is good. It’s hard to give a definitive idea of fitness requirements as this varies for everyone . Generally, if you are used to walking for 6 hours in the mountains (with rests and at a moderate pace) then you should be fine . The trip does go to altitude so this will feel a bit harder but the leaders will take it really easy so the group can acclimatise . The lodges are great because you have the maximum level of comfort available at that altitude such as comfortable beds, hot water and heating (solar powered) . This helps at the end of a day’s walk . I have not been on the small shuttle plane myself . It’s an 8 seater and is a STOL type aircraft . It is a short flight to Lukla (not more than 15 or 20 minutes) from where a larger plane (16 seater) takes you back to Kathmandu

Hi,
My husband and I are looking at this trip for maybe October this year and dont see any recent reviews of it. We have done a couple of trips - Chile hiking in a thin country, Amalfi Coast trek and Majorca walking holiday, but this will probably be more challenging although graded moderate, can anyone give us a bit more background and and idea of fitness level required please. Also what was the small shuttle plane experience like ?
