Water!

Trip - AMH - HIGHLIGHTS OF MOROCCO, Departure Date - Sunday 17th October 2010

I'm on this trip and I'm confused over water purification. Is the Chlorine based treatment OK? I seem to get conflicting opinions!

Hi Mark, I've just got back from this trip. Water purification is unnecessary, just buy the bottled mineral water and use that instead, as it's sold everywhere. Make sure you buy Sidi Ali mineral water as it's supposed to be the purest. About 6DH for 1.5L bottle (that's about 40 pence). Also stock up on Imodium and antibacterial hand gel. If you do decide you want to take water purification tablets you will need the iodine-based tablets.
