A Week in Jordan -
Trip - AXW - A WEEK IN JORDAN, Departure Date - Saturday 26th June 2010

Hello,

I've just booked this trip and wanted to see if anyone else was going. See you in June

Emma

A week in Jordan -

Have just come back from a week in Jordan - we departed 13 February 2010.  It is out of this world.  Temperatures in the 30s - didn't take enough warm weather clothes.  Didn't need anything other than the sleeping bag in the desert (Wadi Rum) and a fleece for the evenings.  I won't spoil it for you, but I hope you have Khalid as your guide.  He is so knowledgeable and is really passionate about his country.  Make sure you eat at Heathrow before you leave as the food on the plane is not too good and you get there late at night - so no more food on the Saturday.  Don't take strappy vests as you need to keep your shoulders covered most of the time.  T-shirts are ok.  Hope you have a great time and if you have any questions I would be pleased to answer.

Hi Emma, I'll be on this -

Hi Emma,

I'll be on this trip - am getting excited!  I think it will be a hot as hell, but fun nonetheless.   I've spoken to one person who did this trip before and they said it was amazing.

Allison

Hi Alison,I think the heats -

Hi Alison,

I think the heats going to be quite something, especially as since Gail says it was 30C in February, I think a sleeping bag may be too warm.

 It should be good fun.

Emma

Hi All, I am also on this -

Hi All,

I am also on this trip and June can't come soon enough. Really looking forward to meeting everyone and getting some much needed sun.

Hi kaatje, This is my second -

Hi kaatje,

This is my second trip with exodus.   I did Mount Kili with them last year- they seem to be very organised.

Is everyone flying from the UK/London?

Allison

No, I'm leaving from -

No, I'm leaving from Brussels, and I'm sceduled to land in Amman in the afternoon, so if al goes according to plan I will be waiting for you all in the airport of Amman.

Kaatje

Hey all,I'm on this trip -

Hey all,

I'm on this trip too. I know someone who has been before too, and said it was fantastic. She went in October and said it was hot even then.

Thought from me: consider taking a pillow case. It can make a good makeshift pillow if stuffed with a fleece and doesn't take up much space.

Roll on June!

Jordan -

I like your thinking Phil!

If I understood it -

If I understood it correctly, then we don't need anything else, except for an international pasport, visa we have to organise up to arrival?

Se you all in June

Kaatje (or Kate in English, if you like)

Yes - it sounds like we -
Yes - it sounds like we organise visa on arrival.

Hi,Alas I can't make this -

Hi,

Alas I can't make this trip, I hope you all have a great time.

Emma

Hi,question is, how will I -

Hi,

question is, how will I recognize you all on arrival in Amman airport?  Because I'm arriving a few hours before you all arrive, but I'd like to join you on the trip to Madaba, so I don't need to take a cabe by myself.

See you all next week!

greetings,

Kate

Hi Kate,If you are planning -

Hi Kate,

If you are planning on catching up with us at the Airport then our flight no. is RJ112 and we should land at 23:59. We are supposed to be met on arrival by an Airport rep who I think is Mr Doghan Al Omar so I would try and track him down and I would have thought he would have an Exodus board.

You have posted a pic so I'm sure anyone reading your post will keep an eye out for you. I am actually travelling with Phil who has also posted a pic so at least you will have someone else to look out for.

 See you soon.
