Which down jacket

Trip - TGR - LADAKH: THE MARKHA VALLEY, Departure Date - Sunday 15th July 2012

I'm off to Ladakh - Markha Valley trek in July - wondering which down jacket to go for - looked at Rab Neutrino, Mountain Equipment and Alpkit - the latter soooo much cheaper but will it do the job. Imagine it is the nights at altitude which will be the real test - warmth and weight and the obvious considerations!

I have a Rab Neutrino which I took up Kilimanjaro which was excellent for the cold nights. However I was fortunate to get it in a sale as they're not cheap! I really liked it as it was so lightweight and compact especially when rolled up its own little stuff sack and then with a quick shake it puffed up instantly and was nice and cosy. It proved pretty windproof too on a freezing blustery summit night!
