Who else is coming?

Hi there. Myself & my mate Nige are also on this trip. It's something I've been wanting to do for years as well. I've done a few other trips with Exodus and they have all been brill so far. We are flying direct from Manchester so wont be flying with the rest of the group so will meet everyone in Beijing for the Duck Dinner :)

 My partner Rob and I are coming on this trip too.  We will be celebrating his 50th birthday so wanted to do it in style with a trip to China. I am sure is going to be great fun and a real eye opener too! Looking forward to meeting other fellow travellers and a new adventure.  We are also flying out from Manchester on 4th Oct so won't be on the group trip. I'm hoping we can grab a lift with the rest of the group from the airport to the hotel in Beijing.

Glad to hear that you are flying from Manchester as I'm also flying from there, I'm flying with KLM via Amsterdam. I think the Manchester flight gets into Beijing before the group flight so we should be ok to catch the group transfer to the hotel.

 Hello John,

We are on a different flight. We fly with Qatar Airways stopping off at Doha.  I think we are there an hour or so before the flight from London so we could arrange to meet at Beijing Airport.

Hello again to my fellow trekkers,

 Sam I was hoping that we would be on the same flights from Manchester as I don't fancy trying to navigate Amsterdam and Beijing airports on my own, if there is anyone else booked onto the KLM via Amsterdam flight I would be eternally grateful if we arranged to meet at Manchester either before or after check in. Also has anyone applied for their Visa yet I'm just wondering about when would be best to do this.

Mike - what flight are you on? We are also flying from Manchester with Qatar on October 4th.

John - don't worry about Schiphol Airport, KLM staff will see you are OK. And maybe we should try to arrange to meet in Beijing Airport. We have not done our visas yet so not sure about that.

Rob - we are flying with Finnair getting to Beijing at 7am on fri morn If anyone is getting in about the same time Me & Nige will be more than happy to share a taxi in to town. John - Schiphol is really easy to navigate. Just follow the signs for the international transfer desk and they will send you off in the right direction. As for the Visa thing i was kinda using the instructions on a website that tells you exactly what to do www.visaforchina.org. I hope this helps. Exodus will also give help if needed I think. It's only about 9 weeks away :)

Thanks for that Mike - we don't get to Beijing until 14:40 on the Friday so I guess you wont want to be hanging around that long!Looking forward to meeting all you guys.

I thought it was about time we got acquainted as our trip will soon be upon us. Looking forward to experiencing the scenery and culture of another destination on my hit list of places to visit in a lifetime.

I am also flying out of Manchester with friend Donna on Emirates via Dubai arriving Beijing 5/10 at 15.10. So if anyone is at the airport will see you then otherwise we meet at dinner for what I hope will be a fantastic adventure.   Julie

Rob, our itinary shows we set off from Manchester on Thursday 14.10 and fly via Dubai to arrive in Beijing at 15.10 on Friday 5th October so fingers crossed we're not late and in time for Beijing Duck dinner!

Hi everyone

 Well its only 2 weeks to go now!! I seem to be to only one flying from Manchester via Amsterdam with KLM which should prove to be eventful. Does anyone know what time the group transfer from the airport is? Im just wondering if we will all be transferring at the same time as the Manchester flights seem to be arriving at very different times I arrive at 12:40.

Sam and I  were only just saying it's just two weeks to go - getting very exciting. Our Qatar Airlines flight from Mancheter via Doha gets to Beijing at 14:40 and the group flight gets in half an hour later so we can get the group transfer. If you fancy hanging around the airport for a couple of hours you could get the transfer too. But you have to let Exodus know you want to get the transfer - give them a call John and let them know. It will give you plenty of time to have a sea snail and roast dog salad at the airport!
