signed up for this trip at Destinations Earls Court on 3 Feb, just applied for visa (ETA) today so all set. Will probably travel up from Westbury to heathrow by train and will keep eyes peeled for Exodus kitbags at airport check-in! Otherwise see you all there, looking forward to trip now its getting closer

Anyone taking malaria tablets?? My appointment with innoculations nurse was cancelled but don't want to order malarone unless needed - very expensive!!

We're not taking anti-malarials. For once our travel nurse said we didn't need any pills or jabs for our holiday. I think you only need them if visiting the very north of the country.
Final confirmation came through yesterday, that kept me smiling all day today.

Hi Deena, not long now! Good news with no jabs or tabs, just booking train ticket today. Asked Exodus to book me an isle seat on plane, as you can't manage your flight with airline due to group booking.

I spoke to someone who went to Sri Lanka for his honeymoon and he suggested to take sweets / colouring pens/ crayons to give to the kids in poverty instead of money as you don't know where the money goes.
Thought I'd extend this suggestion to you guys if you don't want to go empty handed.
I just bought some bits from the pound shops.

Hi Deena. A week today and we'll just be taking off, let's hope there's no more snow. I have the bags out and various bits of holiday clothing waiting to be packed. At least it's a short working week with Good Friday. Was going to go shopping today and pick up a few extra bits but the snow put paid to that.
