Who else is going?!
Hi Moira
Nice to hear from you, we have never been to India so don't know what to expect but looking forward to trip, esp Bhutan.
Various recommendations re malaria for this trip, what are you doing?!
Joanne
Hi again - No, I'm not taking anti-malarials. I take Vit B1 and a Vit B Complex - apparently mossies don't like the smell and stay well away from you!! It does seem to work, I don't usually get bitten (famous last word!). I'm sure you will find India to be magical, fantastic, addictive and the people are lovely. The only thing we are dithering about is whether to take our walking boots - it sounds as though some of the walks up to monasteries could be quite steep and rugged. Are you planning to take proper boots?
Hi, thanks for the anti malaria info. Yes we are taking our boots we tend to travel in them - would hate to loose them! and the one time we leave them at home is when we wish we had taken them!
Joanne
Hi all
David and Sue will be joining you on this one. We also have visited India before but concentrated on the more touristy locations then. We are both looking forward to it, the 17th can't come soon enough.
Look forward to meeting you all

Not long to go now - just waiting for tickets. Decided I would take my walking boots then Chris sent
me a photo of her Mum aged 76 in her trainers at Takstang Monastery! So I am dithering again!! You'll have no problem recognising me at Heathrow - I will be the one wearing one trainer and one walking boot dithering about whether I want tea or coffee.
Hi, look forward to meeting you both David & Sue.
Chris you will probably recognise Derek & I, we will be the pair running through the airport with our boots in our hands having just made it to check in thru security - don't ask - it happens all the time to us!!!!!!!
bfn Joanne
The fact that we will be carrying Exodus travel bags might well be a giveaway!!
David & Sue
Regarding Moira's comment about my Mum going up to the monastery in trainers.........she in fact would never buy trainers or walking boots on her travels........always wore canvas shoes or sandals........how she managed I don't know! I'm also dithering about walking boots but think I will take lighter pair but which has ankle support.
As for recognising Moira and I at the airport..........I think we may possibly be the more mature ladies in the group!
Chris
Oh good! I won't panic yet!!! I think I am almost ready. I live in Scotland and we have had the most appalling weather for the last 6 weeks so am looking forward to a bit of sunshine. I am so
excited I can almost SMELL Delhi!!!
We received our e-tickets by email last Wednesday. Nothing through the post though. No complimentary kit bags yet either.
David & Sue
Hi Moira, we have rec'd e ticket reference thru the post, that's all, nothing as exciting as whe you used to get whole load of tickets! It is 25o here today so hope you get some sun and we take it with us to Bhutan.
Joanne & Derek
Yes definately a big phew of relief that strike is off!
Roll on the 17th!
Joanne
