Solo Traveller

For those not travelling with a partner or friend(s), Exodus adventure holidays are definitely available to single travellers. Over half our holiday bookings are from solo travellers. One of the great benefits of our trips is that they allow you to be independent and travel the world, but also provide security and company whenever you choose. Just over half our clients are female and although the average age is 43, we usually have many younger and older clients in every group. Travelling on your own is not only possible - it’s encouraged and very much a feature of our group holidays. Small group holidays provide a fantastic opportunity to meet like-minded people to share your travel experiences with. You won’t be expected to pay a supplement as we will room you with a fellow traveller of the same sex, and occasionally you may end up with your own room. If you prefer, guaranteed single accommodation is available on most trips at a very reasonable extra charge.

Taking a GAP

A number of our trips can be combined with other departures to produce your own GAP Adventure. These ‘Gaps’ can be educational, rejuvenating and almost always inspirational. The original Exodus ‘Gappers’ were the intrepid travellers who set off on our old Bedford trucks across the back roads of Asia on the ‘hippy trail’ to Kathmandu. Since those early days we have grown, along with many of our original crews, and we now offer itineraries across seven continents. You can still travel on sections of the original long journeys and we have a huge variety of trips that can be linked together to form your perfect GAP Adventure.

Responsible Travel Trips

For several years now Exodus have identified specific projects where, as an adventure tour operator, we are in an ideal position to actively help some of the less fortunate communities that we visit, whilst also encouraging them to protect the very environments and wildlife that we travel to see. You can travel in these areas and visit these projects. To enable us to fund these projects efficiently, Exodus has entered into a partnership with Friends of Conservation. Established in 1982, Friends of Conservation (FOC) works in all parts of the world to support effective community-based conservation projects. In the struggle to save endangered species and habitats, FOC is committed to work with local people and partners to find sustainable ways of living in harmony with wildlife, ecosystems and the environment.

Weekend Short Breaks

With just a few days off you can still enjoy an adventure holiday and try something completely different. Our short break holidays are designed for those who like short adventurous and active getaways - whether whale watching in the Norwegian fjords, snowmobiling on the glaciers in Iceland, dogsledding in Finland or snowshoeing in the Pyrenees. What are you waiting for – escape on an Exodus Weekend Break.

Creature Comforts

These holidays specialise in food, wine and accommodation. Fabulous adventure holidays to some of the world’s most stunning locations with specially selected accommodation. It is impossible to categorise exactly what makes them so special - they simply have that "Je ne sais quoi". The Ice Hotel in Sweden, a comfortable tented camp with views across the Masai Mara, standing on the bridge of the world’s leading Antarctic expedition vessel or discussing the best way to make fresh pasta with 'Mama' at our center in Tuscany. You just have to make the effort to join us - no description can do them justice.
