Reality Check
While this trip is graded Leisurely/Moderate, we recommend you have a reasonably good level of fitness to really enjoy the hiking opportunities available. All of these are non-compulsory day walks and do not exceed 25km.
We have two internal flights on this trip to reduce driving but there are still some long drives, some of which are done using public transport.
The longest drive is when we cross the border from El Calafate to Torres del Paine and when travelling south from Cerro Sombrero to Ushuaia (this leg is done by private bus). When using public transport, please be aware that the comfort and standards of driving may be lower than would be expected in Europe - unfortunately this is something that we have limited control over.
Normal group size and age
Normally 6 to 18, plus leader, drivers and local guides. Minimum age 18.
Misc
Iguassu Extension
This trip can also be extended to visit the magnificent falls of Iguassu, which lie in the far north of Argentina on the border with Brazil. Please see the Trip Notes for more details.
Icons explained
The vast majority of Exodus adventures are adult group holidays. Groups are always small in size. We strongly believe that this adherence to small groups means a better experience for all; more time with your guide, less waiting around and a reduced impact on the communities and environments visited.
Each group is generally made up of like-minded travellers - with singles, couples and friends all joining in together.
All these trips are suitable for single travellers, but if you prefer to travel with clients booking individually, please
see our Solo Departures page.
Requires a spirit of adventure and some fitness, as the trip may involve more activities or longer journeys.
Mixed Activities: Activities may range from the ordinary (for example walking, cycling or whitewater rafting) to the damn right extraordinary (including caving, camel riding or canyoning).
Wilderness: Visit the deserts, jungles, plateaux, tundra and mountains of all seven continents, including Antarctica.
