10 day wildlife focused itinerary 4 full days trekking pumas in Torres del Paine N.P. Transport in private vehicle
7 nights comfortable hotels (5 within Torres del Paine N.P.), all rooms en suite.
Hotel Las Torres sits in a picture-perfect setting at the foot of the Paine Massif with the granite towers forming an impressive backdrop that is in sharp contrast to the green pastures that make up the hotel grounds. With a horse ranch, organic food garden, spa, shop, restaurant and bar all on site, the hotel is certainly not short of facilities yet manages to retain a down to earth rustic mountain lodge feel. Rooms are very comfortable and the large windows allow natural light as well as fantastic views. The Las Torres philosophy is built upon the traditional farming heritage associated with this part of the world, and best of all for us, it is ideally situated in puma territory!
7 breakfasts, 6 lunches, 7 dinners
The theme of this trip is exploring Torres del Paine National Park from a wildlife and nature lover's perspective - whilst pursuing the main objective of seeing pumas in their natural habitat. Photography enthusiasts will no-doubt find the setting to be inspirational. All daily wildlife excursions are optional. As the admission fee is included in the price, you can choose to hike on one of the National Park trails should you wish. The hotel is ideally placed for the iconic 1-day trek up to the base of the towers and back again. This is a challenging 8 hour (approx.) walk (moderate/challenging activity level) featuring stunning scenery and a steep final ascent with rocky sections underfoot. The weather plays a key role in determining how difficult the trek is, but you can generally bank upon experiencing a bit of wind and some chilly temperatures at the summit.
Normal group size and age
Min. 4, max. 12 Minimum age 16.
The vast majority of Exodus adventures are adult group holidays. Groups are always small in size. We strongly believe that this adherence to small groups means a better experience for all; more time with your guide, less waiting around and a reduced impact on the communities and environments visited.
Each group is generally made up of like-minded travellers - with singles, couples and friends all joining in together. All these trips are suitable for single travellers, but if you prefer to travel with clients booking individually, please see our Solo Departures page.
Exodus is always looking to improve our current itineraries and to offer something different. With many new trips this year, there is something unique and different to try every year.
Wildlife: Trips may be wholly wildlife focused, or contain an element of wildlife viewing within a less specific itinerary.
