Reality Check
This trip has been graded as grade A (leisurely). Leisurely grade trips are designed for people who are in good health, enjoy the outdoors and want a relaxing trip packed with interest.
As the location of this trip is not far from the Arctic circle, daylight hours are longer than that of the UK and can range from between twelve to sixteen hours of direct sunlight and two to four hours of twilight.
When out in the sun care should be taken to drink plenty of water and protect yourelf, especially when out in the canoe as the suns intensity can be amplified by reflections off the lake. The hotel that we use on this trip is of a high standard.
Please note that the facilities in the bear hide are more basic with dry toilets and no showers (please see accomodation section for further details) as they are designed in such a way as to not interfere with the wildlife.
Normal group size and age
Normally 4 to 12, plus local guide and appropriate local staff. Minimum age 16.

Icons explained
The vast majority of Exodus adventures are adult group holidays. Groups are always small in size. We strongly believe that this adherence to small groups means a better experience for all; more time with your guide, less waiting around and a reduced impact on the communities and environments visited.
Each group is generally made up of like-minded travellers - with singles, couples and friends all joining in together.
All these trips are suitable for single travellers, but if you prefer to travel with clients booking individually, please
see our Solo Departures page.
Designed for people who are in good health, enjoy the outdoors and want a relaxing trip packed with interest.
Wildlife: Trips may be wholly wildlife focused, or contain an element of wildlife viewing within a less specific itinerary.
Wilderness: Visit the deserts, jungles, plateaux, tundra and mountains of all seven continents, including Antarctica.
Where you stay is a crucial part of a holiday, and we have gone to great lengths to find accommodation that provides extra comfort, character, convenience and value. Five-star hotels won’t feature on the agenda, but itineraries guarantee a greater degree of comfort after your day’s efforts.
