China remains one of the world's 'must-see' destinations; from ultra-modern Shanghai to the wizened faces of ancient Chinese villagers, this trip reveals a country as fascinating and beguiling as ever.
What makes this trip responsible?
We use Chinese owned and run accommodation and the hotels display notices advising that not changing linen or towels daily helps reduce the environmental impact of your stay and most hotels have automatic keys that turn off lights air conditioning. These initiatives we believe will enable the wide community to benefit financially from our visits and will help with cross cultural understanding. During this tour we make three journeys by overnight sleeper train; using public transport is far more economical than the alternative of using internal flights and helps to minimise our carbon footprint.
