Everything we expected and more. The Dalmatian Coast really is beautiful and this is a great introduction to the coast, country and towns.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

Loved walking the walls of Dubrovnik. Great views and lots of history, ancient and modern.

What did you think of your group leader?
Always bursting with enthusiasm, Kristo was a friendly and knowledgeable leader. Made sure all the arrangements went super smoothly. Found us some really good places to eat too.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
If you like an early morning cuppa take a travel kettle - none of our rooms had tea or coffee making facilities.
Is there anything else you would like to add?

Look forward to some great sights and fascinating history. Expect Dubrovnik to be very busy, especially if the cruise ships are in. Also, don't miss the optional trip to Mostar. It's a long drive but the scenery's interesting and Mostar's recent history make it a must.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

My favourite part of this holiday was the boat trip to the beautiful island of Mljet and the island of Mljet with it's stunning lakes.

Trogir, Split old town, Ston & Dubrovnik are also amazing.

The whole trip was just great.

What did you think of your group leader?
Our tour leader was the best, so far, for me. He gave us enough information without overloading, has a brilliant sense of humour and is genuine with his care of the group.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Although the trip notes say that trainers are fine for the walks you might want to take sturdier walking boots. I was fine in my trainers, however, the walk around Korcula island has a lot of loose stones and others of the group felt that they would have prefered to have better footwear.

It was a really good way of getting a flavour of the Dalmatian coast and Croatia without the hassle of researching and organising it myself.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
I had no idea how lovely Dubrovnik is - until I got there.
What did you think of your group leader?
The group leader was an experienced and well-informed guide who never imposed but was always there when I needed information or help. He also had a good sense of humour!

It is helpful to know that the season in these parts doesn't begin till May. In April you will miss the crowds but lots of the restaurants and tourist attractions are closed.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
My first group trip for several years and it was fun to be with likeminded travellers again and a real treat to have someone else responsible for the organisation. I had forgotten, though, that there can be a downside to the praiseworthy approach of choosing 'local' hotels - but only one disappointing hotel on this trip and the very helpful hotel staff made up for the slightly dreary surroundings.

Croatia is a gorgeous country and I have no idea why more people haven't discovered this. (shh..don't tell) This was my first trip with Exodus and I found it to be fabulous! It was well-organized, interesting, and provided a variety of activities and flexibility. It was wonderful to see a medley of places, without it being a huge tour group. Our guide Krsto was easy-going and made everyone feel like a friend.

What did you think of your group leader?
Our group leader, Krsto, had a great sense of humour and made everyone feel comfortable. Krsto had a natural ability of keeping the tour organized and on schedule, but without stepping on peoples' toes. He was patient and flexible when dealing with a variety of personalities. It was great fun traveling with Krsto and the trip wouldn't have been as much fun without him!
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
I would definitely use this company. It was wonderful to have all of the logistics organized, yet not feel like you are part of a cattle herd being led around. I felt like I had simply joined some other people traveling around and we had luckily found a nice guy to show us all the cool places to go.

A warm welcome greeted us at the airport by our fantastic tour leader Sanja Reiter.  I knew from the beginning that the trip was to be a fun and informative one.  First stop was the UNESCO pretty town of Trogir, from there we took in the sights and sounds of Split, Korcula (great island and do try the vino from the region), Mjat and the gem of a city Dubrovnik.  The optional day trip to Mostar in Bosnia did prove quite a contast but an important one to see.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Our tour of Dubrovnik was very interesting and sad in some respects based on the recount of the destruction of Dubrovnik during the homeland war.  It was inspirational to see how both the city was rebuilt and also how the tourist trade is again flourishing.
What did you think of your group leader?
One of the best tour leaders around I would say. Sanja is a treat to meet, full of fun, pertinent information, she worked well with all members of the group who ranged in age from 70 to 32. What struck me most about Sanja is her conscientous nature and love of her country, people, song and culture. Exodus travellers you are in for a treat if you travel with Sanja.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
The holiday is not too active, it blends a few good walks with plenty of relaxation time.  My tour went in October, which was a lovely time of year to travel in, the hot months of July and August might not be best time to travel.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I would highly recommend this trip to anyone seeking a relaxing yet active trip away.  The group also made the trip a memoroble one for all the right reasons :)

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

Loved Trogir and would liked to have stayed longer

With the leaders help I was able to get tickets for a concert inthe Catheral really recommend this.

What did you think of your group leader?
    Excellent
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

If you can afford spend a few extra nights in Trogir.

The location of the Hotel Sumratin in Dubrovnik was good as you could get away from the crowds which are in the centre old town to a nice beach.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

The Rooms in the Hotel Liburna are a bit dated but the location makes up for it don't be put off when you arrive.

This was a delightful, mildly active and varied holiday, with beautiful towns and stunning coastline to visit.  A good mix of countryside, towns and culture, and time to enjoy some of the places on our own.  My only critcism is that it really needed to be a day or two longer.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

Undoubtedly walking round the city walls of Dubrovnik in the late afternoon sunshine.  The red tiled roofs stood out against the sparkling blue of the Adriatic sea - a photographer's paradise.  The walk round the city walls is optional, but was a highlight for me - definitely worth taking one's time over this.

The optional day trip to Mostar in Bosnia was also well worth doing, in spite of the long drive.  The small town of Mostar was bustling with tourism, but it was worth spending time in the museum and watching the little film to get a bit of a feel for the history of the bridge and what it meant to the people - you could not help being moved by this.

What did you think of your group leader?
Our group leader was fun, engaging and informed.  He was a good organiser, in spite of our being such a big group, was very amenable and eager to please.  Full marks!
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

Be aware that this is really a 6 day holiday, not actually 8 days as billed, as you arrive in the evening and depart in the morning.

Be prepared for some very busy local bus trips, as the Dubrovnik hotel is way out of the city.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

A great introduction to a beautiful country.  It leaves you eager for more, and I am now keen to try the cycling trip.

I think the trip would benefit from being a day or two longer, as there was not really time to do all that we wanted in and around Dubrovnik, eg I didn't have time for the cable car or a boat trip to some of the islands.
