Explore Baroque towns, ancient Greek ruins and enjoy stunning scenery

Ortigia

Sicily has to be one of the most fascinating islands in Europe. There is an incredibly diverse history, thanks to the different marks left by the Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Normans and Spanish civilizations.

On this comprehensive tour, we explore this stunning island through its picturesque villages, well-preserved archaeological sites and splendid scenery. Starting with an excursion on Mt Etna, Europe's highest active volcano (3343m), we continue to the archaeological towns of Siracusa, Agrigento and Selinunte, all listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We also spend a day in the Zingaro National Reserve, where we enjoy a beautiful walk along the rugged coastline, offering amazing views over the Mediterranean Sea.

Of course, no trip to Sicily is complete without trying the local delicacies and we have plenty of opportunities to sample its mouth-watering cuisine and world-renowned wines.

What makes this trip responsible?

On this trip we stay in locally-run hotels and apartments and we eat in small restaurants offering Sicilian specialities. Picnic lunches on the trip are bought fresh at local stores and markets, helping to support the local economy and ensuring that our clients sample the delicacies that Sicily has to offer.
