Ten day expedition starting in San Jose del Cabo / Todos Santos. Accommodation varies from hotels to semi-permanent tented camps with some meals included.
On this trip we stay in a mixture of comfortable and standard hotel accommodation and semi-permanent tented camps. 4 nights will be spent at 2 small semi-permanent tented camps, both in beach locations.
All breakfasts, 7 lunches and 4 dinners included.
This is a trip for wildlife enthusiasts with a particular interest in Grey whales.
We spend time on the coastline of the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean, covering some distance to get between the two. The longest journey will be 4½ hours travelling between La Paz and Magdalena Bay.
We stay in semi-permanent tented camps for a total of 4 nights; although this is classed as 'comfortable camping' you should expect some basic facilities, such as bucket showers, sleeping bags and camp beds placed on a sand floor.
Although this trip has been graded leisurely there are plenty of opportunities to be active, particularly at the camp on Espiritu Santo Island where you can hike, kayak or snorkel as much or as little as you like. A reasonable level of fitness will help you get the most out of this trip. Please be aware that we use small motorised skiffs for the whale watching excursions - if you suffer very badly from sea sickness or have difficulty getting into and out of small boats this trip may not be suitable.
Normal group size and age
Min. 6, max. 15 Minimum age 16.
The vast majority of Exodus adventures are adult group holidays. Groups are always small in size. We strongly believe that this adherence to small groups means a better experience for all; more time with your guide, less waiting around and a reduced impact on the communities and environments visited.
Each group is generally made up of like-minded travellers - with singles, couples and friends all joining in together. All these trips are suitable for single travellers, but if you prefer to travel with clients booking individually, please see our Solo Departures page.
Designed for people who are in good health, enjoy the outdoors and want a relaxing trip packed with interest.
Special Interest: For those who have a passion for archaeology, food, flowers, languages or yoga. Solar eclipse and Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) departures and specialist conservation holidays are also included.
Wildlife: Trips may be wholly wildlife focused, or contain an element of wildlife viewing within a less specific itinerary.
