Reality Check
This trip is run in the style of a short overland expedition. Transport is in a purpose-built overland vehicle: based on a Mercedes truck chassis, it carries up to 22 people in comfortable, mainly forward-facing seats in an integral coach-built body. There are two Overland crew who will share the organisation, driving and looking after the vehicle.
The truck carries good-quality camping and cooking equipment, and a water tank for drinking water, so it can be self-sufficient for several days if need be. Most of the trip is camping, mainly in the wilds when there are no facilities except what we carry with us. On three nights we are in organised sites with facilities. Four or five nights are spent in hotels or hostels and one night in cabins on the ferry.
The delight of an overland vehicle is its ability to go almost anywhere, but travelling overland does involve some longish driving days, and the roads are not all surfaced. Any discomforts should be more than compensated by the sheer grandeur of the scenery.
This trip is operated by our partner company Dragoman. Long-established, and with a fleet of over 20 overland trucks scattered all over the world, Dragoman is the most experienced overland company in the UK and has an enviable reputation.
Normal group size and age
Normally 4 to 22 plus two Overland crew and local guide where necessary. Minimum age 18.
Icons explained
The vast majority of Exodus adventures are adult group holidays. Groups are always small in size. We strongly believe that this adherence to small groups means a better experience for all; more time with your guide, less waiting around and a reduced impact on the communities and environments visited.
Each group is generally made up of like-minded travellers - with singles, couples and friends all joining in together.
All these trips are suitable for single travellers, but if you prefer to travel with clients booking individually, please
see our Solo Departures page.
Requires a spirit of adventure and some fitness, as the trip may involve more activities or longer journeys.
Wilderness: Visit the deserts, jungles, plateaux, tundra and mountains of all seven continents, including Antarctica.
