An action-packed fortnight full of wonderful experiences.  Each day we thought "Nothing can match this" ... and then something else did.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Impossible to decide which was the most inspirational.  Overall what stays with me is the contrasts: the fabulous riches of the Indian palaces and tombs, the poverty on the streets, the splendid solitude of Fatehpur Sikri, the crazy, noisy traffic in the cities, the spectacular location of Pokhara and its playground for tourists and trekkers, and the flickering night-time fires in the streets of Kathmandu where the homeless try to keep warm.
What did you think of your group leader?

He was very good: good-humoured, extremely knowledgeable and always anticipating our needs, taking care of everything and dealing with any problems.

Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
If you do this trip in December, be ready for the cold.  It is mild (not hot) during the day but cold at night.  Pack your thermals.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
It's easy to get paranoid before the trip about "helpful" advice.  Only two people on our trip succumbed to tummy upsets and we all ate most things that were put in front of us and ate out at restaurants en route.  Bottled water is readily available everywhere including on the coaches.  We weren't plagued by insects, it being dry and cool.  Feral or stray dogs are common but they didn't bother us; most of them were asleep.

This trip was a most fantastic mix of everything.  We experienced the real India, the sights, smells, sounds and colours were amazing.  Such diverse experiences.  India was so viabrant and Nepal so peaceful and beautiful.   A full on holiday

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Seeing the Holy Ceremony at Varanasi in the evening by boat was so vibrant.  Seeing the sun rise over the Annpurnas was absolutely stunning
What did you think of your group leader?

He was absolutely great, so knowledgable and helpful.  So enthuiastic  about his country.  He couldnt have done more to make the holiday so enjoyable.

Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Yes, take plenty of hand cleansing gel and taking probiotic tablets before you go helped  the stomach build up some defences.  I was lucky to get through the whole trip without any tummy problems.  If you go in January you definately need warm clothes.  Also don't expect everything to go to plan all the time.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Not really other than Exodus haved come up trumps again.  This is my fifth holiday with them and I have another one booked for May.  They seem to have the formula right.

A lot of travelling (on a comfortable but far from luxurious bus) but well worth any discomfort. Excellent guide, wonderful food, lovely people.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
The sunrise sparkling on Fishtail mountain viewed from a hill near Pokhara was as beautiful a sight as I have ever seen! Tranquility in the most awe inspiring setting - magical!!
What did you think of your group leader?
We had a resourceful and knowledgable leader who couldn't do enough to ensure we got the most out of our time. He was flexible, modifying the programme to our match our preferences and was thoroughly professional throughout.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

Don't wait until Delhi airport on thje return journey to change any unrequired Indian rupees as they will only allow Indian passport carriers to change money. Also most of the shop and duty free outlets will not accept Indian rupees so I advise you to get rid of them in Nepal and use cards, dollars or sterling at Delhi airport.

A wonderful trip, full of so many different experiences.  Lots of travelling but the destinations made it all worthwhile.  Fantastic food, excellent guide and a lovely group of people.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Is so hard to pick between sunrise at the Taj Mahal (yes it is as amazing in real life), evening prayers in Varanasi or crazy rickshaw rides through the ever vibrant streets of India.
What did you think of your group leader?
He was very knowledgeable and very flexible.  Had to deal with some unforseen difficulties with a bus breaking down but we still managed to see everything on the itinerary.  He was friendly and had some great food suggestions.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

Be prepared for the noise, dirt and bustle of India and try to enjoy the experience of it all.  Remember that when you get to Nepal it will be all much quieter.

If you like your own space, pay for a single room.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
Would highly recommend Exodus, I received a highly professional service from start to finish.  Would definitely travel with them again.

I had a fabulous time during this trip, we did and saw so much! India is a crazy but very touching country and Nepal is quieter and it was a peaceful week. It's worth every pound.

This was the most different holiday I have ever been on - North India was a total assault on the senses and quite intense at times and challenging to my western sensibilities. Overall I totally loved it although after a week in North India I was glad to get to Nepal which is less hectic.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Too numerous to pick one. The Taj Mahal was amazing as were the Anna Purna range and the flight to Everest. I absolutely loved the journey to Rajastan as you see such a lot of Indian life on the way. Temples were amazing.
What did you think of your group leader?
He was amazing! Very knowelagable and looked after all our needs as well as being excellent company, kind and patient
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

The train journey needs mental preparation if you're worried by cockroaches and mice! Come with an open mind and as our guide said view it as an adventure

Don't pack too much if you like to shop

Don't make eye contact with hawkers as they can be VERY bothersome

Is there anything else you would like to add?
It might have been good to have a little more opportunity to not always eat togther with the whole group to allow for a little more independence
