A comfortable exploration of enchanting Rajasthan, the Land of Maharajas

Discover India's desert state of Rajasthan in style; using exclusive heritage hotels we explore the gateway city of Delhi, are enthralled by the magnificent Taj Mahal at sunrise and delve into the history of the many extravagant forts and palaces the region has to offer.
At every turn India bombards the senses - one minute it's full speed ahead as we take an exciting jeep safari through desert countryside, experience a train ride with the locals or slip into one of the many colourful bazaars, while the next we'll seek out calm serenity by visiting the holy town of Pushkar and the Mehrangarh fort at Jodhpur.
This is the perfect recipe for a first time visitor to India; exotic ingredients, gently combined with a pinch of luxury, and served in a small group with expert local guides.
What makes this trip responsible?
We provide refresher training with a focus on Responsible Tourism, so our local leaders can educate our clients locally on helping to preserve the way of life in their area. On this trip we stay in a range of excellent hotels, including some heritage forts and palaces bursting with character. We visit various local restaurants serving local specialities and stop at many handicraft stalls where we can directly benefit the local economy. Our visit to a government-run primary school attended by children from nearby villages helps us understand the education system in rural areas of the country. And a worthwhile stop at the settlements of Gujars (shepherds) and Kalbelia (snake charmers) communities also provide a great experience of traditional, rural Rajasthani lifestyle.
