Reality Check
The roads are generally pretty good throughout, but road conditions can vary and are obviously very different from those in the west.
Local traffic and/or road damage after the monsoon can sometimes slow us down.
We travel mainly on comparatively quiet roads for at least half of the journey.
The tour is not overly demanding, but the bustle of Delhi, Agra and Amritsar can be a little overwhelming at first.
Normal group size and age
Normally 4 to 16; led by Philippa or Jeremy Russell, long-term residents of Dharamsala. Minimum age 16.

We strongly believe that this adherence to small groups means a better experience for all; more time with your guide, less waiting around and a reduced impact on the communities and environments visited.
Each group is generally made up of like-minded travellers - with singles, couples and friends all joining in together.
