An exceedingly good wildlife tour through India's Kipling Country

Indian girls in front of sign for School project at Bandhavgarh

Northern India is home to many wildlife parks. On this trip we visit three tiger parks and the bird sanctuary at Bharatpur, to enjoy some magnificent wildlife in its natural environment. Ranthambore, former hunting reserve of the Maharajas of Jaipur, boasts large numbers of sambar and chital as well as tigers. Kanha is teeming with varieties of deer, monkey, langur, wild boar and water fowl, and the 'hard ground' barasingha can also be seen. Bandhavgarh, one of the smaller and least visited National Parks, enjoys an impressive setting with a stunning cliff-top fort overlooking grasslands, birch forests and bamboo that provide cover for the indigenous wildlife. All of these parks are ideal for viewing both predator and prey, and with seven included game drives and more optional ones, our chances of seeing the magnificent tiger are greatly increased.

What makes this trip responsible?

Responsible Travel

Bandhavgarh, India
The tigers of India are under serious threat from poaching and encroachment and we hope to show the population of Bandhavgarh in Madya Pardesh the direct benefits of protecting the tigers of this region. Our project in Bandhavgarh focuses on the rebuilding of a local school bordering the National Park. Since 2005, we have rebuilt classrooms, a new ablutions block and installed clean water towers. Work to improve the facilities of the main school building is already underway and we have also facilitated the funding for a much-needed ambulance for the local hospital. Such local projects are vital for the survival of the tiger.
