A week of wildlife in Bandhavgarh, one of India's top tiger reserves

Tiger crossing our path

Cradled between mountain ranges, Bandhavgarh boasts a breathtaking mixture of dense green valleys and rocky hills. This stunning park, home to a huge variety of wildlife including leopards, Chital deer, wild boar, sloth bear and wild dog as well as an astounding variety of bird species, is however most famous for the density of its tiger population, the highest in India.

Although Bandhavgarh is remote the journey is well worth it and with 8 included game drives this trip will deliver unrivalled tiger-viewing success. Exodus has been visiting this park for many years and in 2005 we started a small but worthwhile project. We believe that by providing assistance to both the park directly and the surrounding villages, the local population see real practical benefits that simply would not be there without the close presence of the tigers and the visitors who come to see these most magnificent of all big cats.

In between game drives you will be able to visit this project. With time also scheduled to visit Agra, home to the exquisite Taj Mahal, this trip is set to be your most memorable Indian experience and a photographer's dream!
