On our recent volunteer trip, we managed to get the building completed for the Hamman (Moroccan steam bath) that we aim to have completed by 2012. Everyone really mucked in to help get this underway and it is excellent to see the funds finally put into practice. The villagers are very happy to see the hammam almost completed as they can see the real benefits of this to the village. No local homes have showers or cleaning facilities so this is very important for the general hygiene of the villagers and it will also provide a self-sustainable income. We are aiming to install solar panels in 2012 and the villagers have also requested for a bakery to be built alongside to provide further income.
