Essential Information

Trip Profile

2 days project work, 2 days easy walking with full porterage. Altitude maximum 1955m, average 1500m.

Accommodation

4 nights standard hotel, 2 nights luxury tented camp with beds and attached bathrooms, 2 nights village house.

Food

9 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 4 dinners included

Reality Check

The project work will involve assembling smokeless stoves or digging a channel for water pipes so you should expect to be doing manual labour. A willingness to 'muck-in' will be appreciated. Please note there is a compulsory donation of GBP50 per person to be paid online via the project page for Nepal. This will go direct into our Himalayan Community Support Projects and will be used to purchase materials needed for the project work (please remember to add gift aid).

For those who would like to bring items for the village or school we recommend books, nursery children's games, ball games/sports equipment or children's clothes.

In Nalbung you will stay in a village house with a local family and eat locally sourced and cooked food. You should be prepared for basic conditions but the warm hospitality from the people will most definitely compenaste for the lack of electricy or water.

The trek is graded A with four days of gentle walking on well established trails and at moderate altitude. The maximum altitude is 1955m and the average is 1600m. The trekking is within the reach of anybody who is reasonably fit. The days will be warm to hot and the nights cooler.

Normal group size and age

Adult Group Holidays The vast majority of Exodus adventures are adult group holidays. Groups are always small in size. We strongly believe that this adherence to small groups means a better experience for all; more time with your guide, less waiting around and a reduced impact on the communities and environments visited.
Each group is generally made up of like-minded travellers - with singles, couples and friends all joining in together. All these trips are suitable for single travellers, but if you prefer to travel with clients booking individually, please see our Solo Departures page.

Leisurely Designed for people who are in good health, enjoy the outdoors and want a relaxing trip packed with interest.

Leisurely Exodus is always looking to improve our current itineraries and to offer something different. With many new trips this year, there is something unique and different to try every year.

Walking & Trekking Walking & Trekking: Trips are wholly trekking-focused or simply include a significant number of walking days during the itinerary.

Culture Culture: Let Exodus show you a different side to many of the world's greatest cultural attractions.
