What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
There were several - the ever-changing unfolding views of the Annapurna range during the trek, and the 360 degree views from Poon Hill of the Annapurnas, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and the receding Himalayan foothills to the south; the incredible variety of bird life throughout the trip, from the small hard-to-spot birds on the ground and in the trees to eagles and vultures soaring overhead, and the storks, herons and waders on the rivers of Chitwan and Koshi Tappu; being 'away from it all' at Koshi Tappu, and meeting the local people in the villages.
What did you think of your group leader?
The enthusiasm and expertise of our two leaders - Chandra our Exodus leader and Ramesh our naturalist - contributed greatly to the holiday, and our knowledge of Nepal. They were good company, and as a party of two we were very lucky to have their whole attention! We also benefitted from the knowledge and expertise of additional guides at Chitwan and Koshi Tappu.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

This holiday was a rewarding and enjoyable mix of trekking and wildlife.

For those of you more inclined towards trekking, looking for and seeing the variety of birds en route added to the enjoyment, and became something of a talking point among the fellow trekkers that we met. Spending an additional two days in Chitwan allowed us to devote that time to more serious walking in the national park.

For those of you more interested in wildlife, while a reasonable level of fitness is required for the trek, the walking is taken at a steady pace, with several stops to observe the birds.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
On the trek, in Chitwan and at Koshi Tappu, there was time to take in the surroundings and, with the help of our expert guides, observe the birds and other wildlife in a relaxed manner in their natural setting.  And we had time at the end to savour the atmosphere of Kathmandu!
