The toughest , but most rewarding and exciting holiday of my life!

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Seeing the orangutans at the sanctuary was something that I will never forget - completly awesome - a childhood dream come true. We also managed to see one in the wild, which was incredible.
Climbing to reach the pinnacles was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, but the support and encouragement from the rest of the group was amazing. I never made it to the top, but considering I had never done anything like that in my life I felt the greatest sense of achievement. I also never made it to the top of Mount Kinabulu, but again as a complete novice at these things, I felt so proud of myself for getting as far as I did.
I will never forget the people who were with me on the tour. It proved that people can achieve anything if they pull together.
Chris our team leader was fantastic. He was so organised, and his knowledge about everything was brilliant. He also had a huge sense of humour, and we were always laughing. When I nearly gave up on the pinnacle climb he showed great faith and determination in getting me down! He was so great that he even pulled bee stings out of my toe!!
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Make sure you read the trip notes - you need to know what you are getting yourself into on these adventure trips!

Memorable storms and plumbing-but the climbs made the trip.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Climbing the mountain in the dark and seeing the sunrise - the going down in the light and seeing what you had climbed up.
Pinnacles were also good with some fun climbing in parts which for peolpe who do not like heights or are not adventurous may not be great.
You should be fit or you will not manage the climbs - in the time -which are the best part of the trip in my view.
Do not expect to wildlife . there is very little. Do expect to get very sweaty and smelly. Take few clothes that wash and dry easily. Take a washing line.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
If Exodus says you need to be fit they mean it. If you are not fit enough you will miss out or spoil it for everyone else.Exodus will not check on your ability.
I went on a trip with them again this year to Pyrenees walking. For me much better trip. FANTASTIC IN EVERY WAY but be mountain climbing fit. |( Washing facilities better and you don,t get D and V!!
