- To Halong Bay; cruise/kayak among spectacular limestone formations; dinner and sleep on junk.
- Day 7
- Swimming and kayaking in Halong Bay; overnight sleeper train to Hue.
- Day 8
- Cycle to Imperial City and Thien Mu Pagoda; 'Dragonboat cruise' along Perfume River.

- Cycle to tomb of Emperor Tu Duc; spectacular drive to Hoi An.
