Hoi long bay is amazing. Great to just be there and I really enjoyed kayaking around and through the rocks.

THAI INDOCHINA GRAND TOUR

Excellent trip - far exceeded our expectations. We used all forms of transport, including a Rickshaw to cover these countries and learn a great deal more about the way of life than if we had flown everywhere.
What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Learning first hand from people who have lived through the wars what happened to them.
Angkor Wat - Awsome
What did you think of your group leader?
Each leader had their own good points but Ritz in Cambodian stood out for us. . He was extremely knowledgeable about his country and ready to give us any information we asked for. He was also flexible in the schedule to accommodate the needs of all 16 travellers. Great sense of humour too!

Don't wait - go now before Laos and Cambodia change too much.
Don't think Exodus is only for the young - it is for the young at heart! My husband will be 70 tomorrow!
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Thank you Exodus for another exceptional trip. Can't wait to get the next one booked.
What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Too many kodak moments to narrow it down to just one! Sailing down the Mekong through Laos for two days watching people panning for gold and elephants coming down to take a drink; swimming beside a pearl farm in Halong Bay, Vietnam and looking up at the limestone karst islands towering above; wandering the temples of Angkor and seeing the sunrise over Angkor Wat; taking part in a Thai festival to buddha and lighting my own sky lantern; having cotton tied around my wrist in a Laos tradition to keep my spirits with me for luck on my journey; having my fortune told by an elderly Cambodian - I will apparently be a beautiful queen with 500 children!
What did you think of your group leader?
We had a different group leader in each country as well as a local guide for Angkor. Khan in Laos and Kumphak in Cambodia were so knowledgeable and passionate about telling us of their countries and what it's like to live there, even some wedding photos came out at our request! I really felt like I came away from more than just a holiday but having spent time with friends.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Some of the journeys are long especially the bus journey to Halong bay and back where the scenery is not great, so be prepared to entertain yourself or have a travel pillow for a snooze. Bottled water is easy to buy so don't take a refillable bottle. Take loo roll or packs of tissues with you - invaluable! Make sure you have $ with you as this is the only currency taken for visas at border crossings where there aren't cash points!

This is an amazing trip with so many life changing and life memorable experiences! It's fills all your senses to bursting and you are on the go all the time. Kodak moments galore! This trip is full of those big tick the box "things to do before you die" but so many small and precious moments too like eating coconut pancakes cooked on the streets of Luang Prabang, learning how to play a game with hilltribe children using tamarind seeds, lighting an incense stick at the Killing Fields memorial, doing a cookery class in Hoi An and chatting to a 15 year old monk. This trip touched my heart and my soul. I even came back and sponsored an 11 year old Vietnamese girl!
What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
I loved Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia- all for different reasons. There was just so much to see and do. It was always exciting to see a monk walking past in bright saffron robes or an elephant strolling through busy traffic on a street in Phnom Penh! Halong Bay was spectacular, Hanoi was buzzing with atmosphere and Hoi An was just beautiful at night- multi coloured lanterns shining along the streets.
What did you think of your group leader?
We had four fabulous group leaders- each having a wonderful and hospitable personality which made the trips so excellent! I learnt so much from each of them- they have so much knowledge to share.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Bring a few gifts from home to give out to the villagers, make sure you bring plenty of camera memory cards and batteries- and for women- bring tops that cover your shoulders as you will need them for most of the temple visits throughout the trip.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
A wonderful way to experience South East Asia- I cant wait to go back!

All of it...sorry but it was brilliant.
Doing four different countries. The various modes of transport made the trip exciting. Ever day was an adventure. Being in a small group made it feel like you were really travelling around the country.
It's the trip for you if you like to be busy and you like moving on every one to two days.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I just absoulutely loved it. It was an exciting adventure packed into four weeks which enables you to sample and experience so much.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
A whole 31 days touring round Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia I couldn't possibly pinpoint single things. The trip was great, the countries were beautiful, the people were wonderful and the experiences unforgettable.
We had 4 different tour leaders from their respected countries. By far the best was our Vietnamese leader, Long, who was fantastic, the Cambodian leader was brilliant telling us his experiences of the Khmer Rouge, the Thailand leader was really good and although the Laos leader wasn't up to the standard of the other 3 it all added to the trip and it was great to see the difference in the 4 countries.

I love the Exodus trips - I have done 3 now (Southern Africa and Cuba) and they have all been so, so good. They are definately trips of a lifetime and I feel very privileged to have had 3 trips of a lifetime with Exodus already. I'm already planning my trip next year to East Africa and I recommend these trips to anyone.
