A comprehensive north to south exploration

This Vietnam adventure tour encapsulates the magic of the country: the conservative north, the rich heritage of the imperial cities, coastal scenery and the vibrant life of Saigon and the Mekong Delta.
We come face to face with an outgoing culture, where so much goes on in the streets: eating, washing, socialising, buying and selling or impromptu games.
This intoxicating parade of Vietnamese daily life may well leave us with our strongest memories, as much as the superb landscapes, the amazing cuisine and the reminders of the distant and the more recent past.
What makes this trip responsible?
Tourism can be a real help to local communities, providing income, positive cultural exchanges and a financial incentive to protect their natural environment. Ours is a 'total approach' to responsible tourism, covering everything from the way we plan and operate our trips to the practices of Exodus as a company.
On the drive from Hanoi to Halong bay we stop at the Hong Ngoc Humanity Centre an NGO where disabled children and adults are taught simple skills such as embroidery and woodcarving. This is an incredible success story where people who were once considered burdens are able to support and sustain both their families and themselves. There will be the opportunity to eat for a good cause at KOTO restaurants in Hanoi or Saigon, which trains under-privileged young Vietnamese and provide street children with vocational training and general education to allow them to find a job in the tourism industry.
