Two weeks, off the beaten track adventure by minibus, four wheel drive and motorised pirogue into the heart of the African rainforest.
Accommodation in hotels (some basic), wild camps and safari lodges. Majority of meals included.
Accommodation
On this trip we spend 4-6 nights in hotels (some basic), one night in a permanent tented camp, 3-5 nights in pitched tents and four nights in a jungle lodge.
Some of the accommodation is very basic without electriity or running water.
Food
Full board throughout apart from lunch on the last day.
Reality Check
This trip goes to some remote parts of Central Africa visited by very few tourists. Infrastructure can be basic and the roads can be in poor condition.
There are two very long drives (of approximately 13hrs) at the very start and the very end of the trip.
In some places the accommodation can be very basic with no electricity or running water and the climate can be hot and humid. Despite this, if you have an adventurous spirit and are ready to leave your western comforts behind this is a fantastic destination and a memorable trip.
Normal group size and age
Normally 4 to 10 passengers accompanied by a leader and local staff. We will have porters whilst in Lobeke National Park. Minimum age 18.
Misc
We will have porters whilst in Lobeke National Park and will, on a number of occasions, have local guides and trackers, often these will be members of the local Ba'Aka tribe.

The vast majority of Exodus adventures are adult group holidays. Groups are always small in size. We strongly believe that this adherence to small groups means a better experience for all; more time with your guide, less waiting around and a reduced impact on the communities and environments visited.
Each group is generally made up of like-minded travellers - with singles, couples and friends all joining in together.

In order to provide a more accurate grading system, where a trip falls between two grades we use an intermediate or split grade, for example Moderate/Challenging. Occasionally, there are optional activities available en route, in this case the optional grade is indicated in brackets, for example Grade Challenging (climb Tough+). Clearly, conditions may differ from region-to-region or month-to-month and as such the information given on these pages is designed to act as a guide only.
