Reality Check
This is an excellent trip for wildlife, scenery and a taste of life in East Africa. To pack so much into a short time there are some long drives, and although the distances are not great, some of the roads are quite poor and bumpy especially after the rainy seasons. We include breaks for toilet facilities, shopping, photos and meals.
The spectacular scenery and glimpses of village life when travelling make the journeys more enjoyable but come prepared with a sense of adventure and a sense of humour for a holiday of a lifetime.
It is a hands on experience with all trips being participatory, here you can get a real feel for camping in Africa, putting up your own tents and you will be expected help with all of the camp chores and enjoy the experience of helping out with cooking in the great outdoors.
Normal group size and age
Normally 8 to 20, plus 2 leader/drivers and cook. Minimum age 18.
Icons explained
The vast majority of Exodus adventures are adult group holidays. Groups are always small in size. We strongly believe that this adherence to small groups means a better experience for all; more time with your guide, less waiting around and a reduced impact on the communities and environments visited.
Each group is generally made up of like-minded travellers - with singles, couples and friends all joining in together.
All these trips are suitable for single travellers, but if you prefer to travel with clients booking individually, please
see our Solo Departures page.
Requires a spirit of adventure and some fitness, as the trip may involve more activities or longer journeys.
Special Interest: For those who have a passion for archaeology, food, flowers, languages or yoga. Solar eclipse and Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) departures and specialist conservation holidays are also included.
Wildlife: Trips may be wholly wildlife focused, or contain an element of wildlife viewing within a less specific itinerary.
Wilderness: Visit the deserts, jungles, plateaux, tundra and mountains of all seven continents, including Antarctica.
