Head east on the world's greatest railway journey, with stops in Moscow, Siberia, Mongolia and Beijing

A local girl

This epic journey takes us from the walls of the Kremlin through the unforgiving forests of Siberia and across the wild steppeland of Mongolia to the gates of Beijing's Forbidden City. En route we visit the world's largest freshwater lake, experience life in a traditional nomadic camp and walk through Siberian taiga (forest). In between, life on the train is a mixture of eating, reading, sleeping, meeting people, enjoying the odd vodka and watching the world go by on one of the world's truly great journeys.
