Some of western civilization's most impressive historical sites

Celcus Library in Ephesus, extensive Roman ruins in Turkey

Turkey is quite simply one of the most important countries in the development of the western world.

Over the centuries it has provided a geographical and cultural bridge between Asia and Europe and has a host of fascinating places to discover. We start in modern-day Istanbul and travel through Cappadocia, visiting temples, amphitheatres, castles and ruined cities, ranging in period from the ancient Anatolian Kingdoms to the lavish Ottoman Empire.

We visit the memorials of Gallipoli and the harsh mountains of the Anatolian plateau, with plenty of highlights to satisfy those wanting to immerse themselves in the diverse culture and history of the Turkish people.
